Goats in church? You bet. We have also had many dogs, cats, a talkative guinea pig and Silent Bob, a contemplative rabbit. All God’s critters have a place in our choir.
All are invited to bring their four-footed, creeping, crawling or flying friends, large or small, to St. James United Church of Christ for a Blessing of the Animals in honor of the festival day of St. Francis of Assisi.
This celebration of God’s creation will be outdoors, since some of our guests may be quite large, and “less sensitive to indoor environments.”
